2007 in review…
2007 was a very busy year, with our daughter progressing through her first year being a huge part of it.
My second book project ended up running well overdue, but I’m happy I was able to use the extra time to to shoot even more for it. I’m really proud of how it looks.
The building the studio was in was shut down for renovations (which also ran way overdue) over the summer, and a few months without the studio definitely put a dent in my shooting. Now I’m back in the building, and have moved into a much swankier space. The new studio is better in pretty much every single way.
But, all said and even taking into account being busy with the baby, late book, and studio renovations, it was an awesome year. A lot of great shoots, and a lot of great images. I did a fair bit more “commercial” type work with the Gemini Modelling Agency, with a huge number of portfolio shoots for their models. And also managed to get a fair bit of art/nude/figure shoots done as well.
One thing I sucked at was keeping the site updated with new images. I’ve got a new gallery in the works, and hope to roll it out in the next few weeks — it’s less “experimental” and more like a regular gallery. I think I’m just going to divide it by styles, instead of shoots, which should make it easier for me to keep updated.
So, until I get the new gallery up and updated, I thought I’d whet your appetite with a few of my favourites from 2007. Not necessarily an exhaustive top 20, but hopefully a good sample from various art/figure/nude shoots through the year…
